Benefits of KUBO

Sustainability will increasingly become an integral part of our corporate culture and operations. A long-term perspective of ESG integration and an emphasis on sustainable programs that contribute to resilience and continued success are essential here. Within KUBO, a variety of sustainability initiatives are well thought of. Below are 3 examples that have been successfully integrated at KUBO.

Onboarding

Recently, ESG has also become part of our onboarding program. I particularly enjoy talking about this and taking new colleagues into this interesting and rapidly changing world. The program has been made very interactive with plenty of room for discussion, game elements, questions and explanations. Soon ESG Workshops will also be prepared for all interested employees.

Hellorider

A great example of this is Hellorider's recently introduced Bicycle Plan. As an avid cyclist/mountain biker, I personally support this initiative as well; it encourages bicycle use, the most sustainable mode of transportation next to walking! Moreover, cycling is also good for your physical (and I dare say mental) condition, so it cuts both ways; attention to people and the environment!

Electrification of vehicle fleet

KUBO wants to do more for the environment than just building sustainable greenhouses. For example, we have set ourselves the goal of electrifying as many company cars/lease cars as possible. If we were to make our fleet 100% electric, we could achieve almost 30% of the so-called scope 1 & 2 CO2 reduction. We are also looking at the company machinery we use in our companies and on our projects.
